Lauren Simone
Lauren’s passion for empowering youth began long before she was a founding member of Club Blue of Hampton Roads. In the 7th grade, Lauren recognized that not only did she have an opportunity, she had a responsibility, to serve communities that didn’t experience the same privilege she did. Lauren joined Operation Smile as a young volunteer and, inspired by the impact, traveled to Thailand to support children undergoing surgery and their families, as benefactors of the Operation Smile program. Lauren’s passion for philanthropy goes beyond social responsibility: it’s personal. After her brother was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2013, Lauren expanded her community work by playing a continuous role in fundraising for The Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
Outside of Club Blue, Lauren is a Project Manager and Lean Coach at W.M. Jordan Company, a construction and real estate development firm operating in Virginia and the Carolinas. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new countries and has lived in both New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Virginia Tech. She is excited to leverage her passion for community building in conjunction with her advocacy for disadvantaged youth to benefit Club Blue.
